Who we are

Intro copy for this section will be updated soon. It will briefly describe who we are and how we support patients and families.

Who We Are

Utsaah Foundation, a non-profit NGO, was started in September 2015, with the primary aim to assist needy patients of Tata Memorial Hospital, who come for cancer treatment.

About us

Majority of these patients come from small villages in rural India and from economically deprived backgrounds. When they hear the cost and time frame of the treatment, they get traumatized and lose all hope. After seeing the plight of these poorest of poor people, especially those coming with small children suffering from cancer, we were inspired and felt the need to fill this vacuum, to provide assistance to these people from the lowest strata of our country.

Our mission is to connect them to the right resources available to them, restore their hope and make every effort to ensure a speedy recovery.

We guide the patients and their relatives to find accommodation; secure financial assistance; help them fill documents for various Government agencies and/or private trusts; provide free phone, fax and email facilities to communicate with their relatives in the village to get the necessary documents; get diagnostic help/blood & platelets; distribute ration to them; give them emotional support etc. We try and take care of all their needs so that they receive guidance under one roof, so they don't have to run from pillar to post.
